Exe Estuary consists of 16 surgeries in and around the East Devon area, they had a mixture of telephone systems and communications providers. The group were looking to federate and integrate all communications.
IP Office Ltd installed an Avaya IP Office 500 at each site running on a mixture of traditional ISDN Lines and SIP. With the powerful systems in place the surgeries can now link the communications and run from each surgeries resource. If one surgery has reception staff off, then they can dynamically assign the calls to go to a different surgery and not miss a single patient call. The mixture of historic ISDN and latest SIP lines mean that no termination charges were experienced, making a seamless and cost-effective deployment.
The group have drastically reduced costs from their communications. They have a completely linked network of telephone systems ensuring minimum wait time for patients and maximum efficiency for the staff. The surgeries now have the option to share resources and to share the busy call load.
