Apprentice Engineer

We have new opportunities for Trainee Communications Engineers to join a successful and progressive communications company based in Exeter.

You will be involved in all aspects of installing and maintaining a range of communications solutions including Hosted Telephony, On-premise PABXs and WiFi and associated cabling including Cat5e and 1308 telephony wiring.

All training will be provided the only requirement is a keen interest in technology and the drive to learn and succeed.

Training will be in-house and on specific courses at manufacturers and distributors premises and also hands on ‘on the job’ training with experienced engineers.

As an ideal candidate, you will possess strong passes at GCSE (9 – 5 or A* to B) in Maths, English and a science or IT based subject.

You will be based in the Exeter area and ideally be able to make your own way to our offices in the morning.

The role will be field based, predominantly in the South West although we have clients throughout the UK and so travelling should be expected including the occasional overnight stay.

It will be a challenging position and an opportunity to become involved in a dynamic, exciting and rapidly changing industry.

As part of your application you must include a covering letter giving details of your interest in technology including any projects you have completed at school/college or in your own time such as building PCs or learning to code and why you think you would be suitable for this position.

In return we offer a competitive salary, 20 days holiday, in addition to statutory holidays and the chance to join the company pension scheme after successful completion of an initial 6 month probationary period.

Initial Interviews will be conducted remotely. This is a field based role and all employees attending customers’ premises are expected to follow current Government guidelines and our company policies.
